Here To Stay Community Land Trust

 Our Story

Four community organizations with a combined 175 years of housing experience, the Center for Changing Lives, the Logan Square Neighborhood Association, LUCHA, and Spanish Coalition for Housing, are joining forces to launch a community land trust in Hermosa and West Logan Square called Here to Stay. Community Land Trusts are a shared ownership model where the community owns the land collectively and individual land leaseholders own the homes. It makes home ownership accessible to low- to moderate-income households (60% - 120% of the Area Median Income) by closing the affordability gap. Should the homeowner choose to sell in the future, they would do so at a previously agreed upon price creating permanent affordability for generations to come.
