Remembering our Dear Tami Love

Our dear Tami Love passed away on February 21, 2021. We are heartbroken and we are truly honored to have worked alongside her. She made a transformative impact at Logan Square Neighborhood Association, and through her work with education justice, parent engagement, and affordable housing she mentored and inspired and made a lasting difference in the lives of countless Black and Brown people in Chicago.

Tami’s Chicago Tribune Obituary

“I owe so much to Tami Love. She was one of a kind. My life, the organizing world, the city is better because of her. Sending virtual hugs to all the thousands of people whose lives were touched by the one and only Tami. Let’s find ways to remember and honor what she stood for.” Bridget Murphy, Director of the Parent Engagement Institute
